🚀 AWS Proxy Demonstration
✓ Hosted on Amazon Web Services
Infrastructure Details
- Hosting: AWS EC2 (Amazon Linux 2023)
- Load Balancer: Application Load Balancer (ALB)
- Region: us-east-1 (N. Virginia)
- Domain: proxy.ilovelp.com
- SSL/TLS: AWS Certificate Manager (ACM)
Architecture Flow
Visitor Browser

Application Load Balancer
├─ / → EC2 Instance (Nginx) → This page
└─ /team/* → bobproxy.rebeliq.com (Proxied)
Proxy Configuration
This demonstration uses AWS ALB path-based routing to proxy team profile URLs:
/ → This index page (served by EC2 + Nginx)
/team/* → Proxied to bobproxy.rebeliq.com (backend server)
How It Works
When you click the link below:
- Your browser requests
proxy.ilovelp.com/team/bob-shuey
- ALB intercepts the request (path matches
/team/*)
- ALB forwards to
bobproxy.rebeliq.com with headers
- Origin server responds with the team profile
- ALB returns the response to your browser
Test the Proxy
Click the button below to view a proxied team profile:
View Bob Shuey's Profile →
Note: The URL will stay as proxy.ilovelp.com/team/bob-shuey in your browser.
The content is fetched from bobproxy.rebeliq.com, but the domain never changes!
Technical Details
- SSL Termination: At ALB (ACM certificate)
- Backend Protocol: HTTP (ALB → origin)
- Headers Sent: X-Forwarded-Host, X-Forwarded-Proto, X-Forwarded-For
- Infrastructure: Terraform-managed
